Originally from Wilmette, Illinois, Denise attended Johns Hopkins University for her undergraduate degree and double majored in Cellular & Molecular Biology and Spanish. After a year-long stint working in community development in Latin America, she completed her MPH in Health Promotion at Columbia University in 2012. Her medical interests include primary care, health literacy and immigrant health. In her free time, Denise enjoys running, hiking and cooking.
