Mia Kanak, MPH

Stanford School of Medicine

Mia is a 4th year medical student at Stanford University School of Medicine. Originally from Tokyo, she graduated from Yale in 2010 with a degree in Political Science and a Masters in Public Health in 2011. At Stanford, Mia has researched health care access among uninsured children in the Emergency Department and also led a student-run free clinic in downtown San Jose. She is interested in a career in Pediatrics and hopes to continue to work on expanding access to health care for children. Outside of medicine, Mia enjoys traveling, cooking, and zumba.
