Kenan received his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Berkeley where his research in the Forest Pathology and Mycology lab focused on the study of the host susceptibility of Sudden Oak Death. After college he had the opportunity to study Turkish at Bogazici University in Istanbul, develop mobile primary care clinics in rural Honduras and work alongside a team of vitreoretinal ophthalmologists at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Ultimately, Kenan returned to academia to pursue a Masters of Science from the Institute for Human Nutrition at Columbia University Medical Center. Currently, Kenan is a 3rd year medical student at Hofstra North Shore LIJ School of Medicine and a clinical researcher at the Arthur Smith Institute for Urology.
