Shayna is originally from Mississauga, Ontario and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Specialization in Physiology from the Schulich School of Medicine. She is now a fourth year MD candidate at the University of Toronto. Her academic interests include epidemiology, teaching and internal medicine. When not writing for 2 Minute Medicine, Shayna is tasting new foods throughout the streets of Toronto, enjoying Netflix binges, or dancing the night away with friends.
