Questions
Before you submit
Who reads 2 Minute Medicine?
Health professionals: physicians, residents and fellows, nurses, pharmacists, students and researchers who want new evidence in brief. Our summaries are written by physicians.
Will you edit my release?
No. It is published as you wrote it and labeled as a press release from your organization. Our checks may ask you to fix something first. Our physician editors don't write, review or endorse releases.
What does it cost?
$199 per release, or $149 for universities, hospitals and nonprofits announcing research with a DOI or ClinicalTrials.gov number. Your card is held when you submit and charged only when your release is approved.
How fast is it published?
Most releases pass our checks and are approved within minutes. Releases with drug or device claims, financial results, product comparisons or patient stories are read by a person, usually within one business day. You choose the publishing time, and we never publish early.
Can I set an embargo?
Yes. Pick a date and time in your time zone, and your release stays private until then.
What is in the reader report?
Real readers, reading time, how far they read, link clicks, where readers came from, Google search impressions and clicks, and the roles and specialties of signed-in readers, shown only as totals. Report emails follow after 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days.
Will search engines find my release?
Yes. Each release has its own page in our sitemap and feed. As search engines require for paid content, links in releases are marked as sponsored.
We already use a newswire. Why add 2 Minute Medicine?
The wire reaches newsrooms. We put the same release in front of clinicians, and show you who read it.
What if my release is declined?
The hold on your card is released and you are not charged. We tell you why, and you can fix the release and submit it again.
