Sara is originally from Abington, Pennsylvania and completed her undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Princeton University. Her senior thesis, an investigation into the thermodynamics of central carbon metabolism, was conducted under the guidance of Professor Joshua Rabinowitz. Upon graduating in 2014, with the aid of a Fulbright grant, she spent one year conducting research with Professor Aaron Ciechanover at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel. She is now an MD-PhD student at Harvard Medical School. Although early on in her training, her current clinical interests are in pediatric hematology-oncology and child & adolescent psychiatry. Outside of the classroom and lab, Sara’s main hobby is CrossFit—she enjoys running, lifting weights, and doing gymnastics strength training.
