Alan Peaceman, MD

Professor, Chief of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Northwestern Memorial Hospital

Alan M. Peaceman is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine since 2003.  He has been active in clinical research throughout his career, and is the Principal Investigator for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Maternal Fetal Medicine Units Network center at Northwestern.  He has served on the Board of Directors for the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, and is an oral examiner for maternal fetal medicine for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  In his role as Chief of Obstetrics at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, he is actively involved in quality management.  He continues to be actively involved in clinical research on preterm birth and obesity in pregnancy, and has been an author for more than 100 peer-reviewed publications.
